First, Musical Instruments. The brass bell as a musical instrument is the most common, and also the beginning of the time. In ancient times, bronze bells were often used as Musical Instruments to play music during sacrifice or feast. Among the bells cast in the past dynasties, there were also bells made of other materials, such as iron bells, but most of them were still bronze bells.

Buddhist artifacts. As a Buddhist artifact, bronze bells are not strange to us. The bell mentioned in "When a monk hits a bell a day" is bronze bells. Copper bells have become a symbol of Buddhist temples. Since the introduction of Buddhism into China, bronze bells have gradually become an essential ritual instrument in Buddhist temples.

Three, the symbol of royal power. We all know that the ancient Ding is a symbol of royal power, the greater the power, the more feet of the Ding. In fact, in ancient times, the bronze bell, like the tripod, was also a symbol of the kingship of the ruling class. Since the Tang Dynasty, the feudal rulers of all dynasties cast different kinds of bells, bigger and bigger, to show their superior dominance. During the reign of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, a huge bronze bell weighing tens of tons was cast.
